Audit Before You Apply

AI can help you improve a resume before it reaches a recruiter. The goal is not to make the resume sound fancy. The goal is to find weak spots: vague claims, missing outcomes, poor role fit, unclear skills, and bullets that do not prove value.

Check for Generic Language

Ask AI to identify phrases that sound generic or unsupported. Replace broad claims with specific evidence. “Strong communicator” is weaker than a bullet showing the audience, message, and result.

Compare Against the Job Description

Paste the job description and ask AI to identify the top responsibilities and skills. Then compare your resume against those needs. This helps you see whether the resume is aligned or drifting.

Find Missing Proof

Good bullets show scope, action, and outcome. Ask where your resume needs metrics, examples, tools, process details, or clearer results. Do not invent facts. Use AI to ask better questions about your own experience.

Run the Final Audit

  • Does each bullet prove a useful outcome?
  • Are the strongest skills visible near the top?
  • Does the resume match the role without copying it?
  • Are AI skills shown through real work, not buzzwords?
  • Can every claim be defended in an interview?

The best resume audit makes your experience more specific, more relevant, and more credible.
